Other Bees - Wood Boring & Sweet Bees

Sweat Bees

Sweat bees earned the name by their attraction to sweat on humans and animals. They’re, also, called miner bees because of their tunneling underground to lay eggs. These bees are valuable pollinators of flowers and crops.

Wood Boring Bees

The most common type of wood boring bee is the carpenter bee. It attacks all types of wood. Left unchecked, they can deface a home and create significant damage. Carpenter bees use the tunnels as nurseries for their eggs.
