Get Rid of Soft Ticks

Types of Soft Ticks

Soft ticks have a leathery, tough exoskeleton protecting them instead of a hard shell. Best known are the common fowl tick and relapsing fever tick. They are found on poultry or on rodents in caves and carry various diseases.

Hard/Soft Ticks Difference

Ticks are either hard or soft. Hard have a shield over most of their body and feed on all sizes of mammals. Soft have a leathery exoskeleton and feed mostly on birds and bats. Both develop in stages and carry diseases.
