Get Rid of Weevils

Strawberry Root Weevils

The strawberry root weevil can destroy raspberry and strawberry plants. Root weevils are bugs whose larvae destroy plants at the root and whose adults feed on their foliage. Though no harm, their numbers can be intimidating.

Cowpea Weevils

Cowpea weevils are stored product pests. They consume all manner of beans. Adults prefer dried cowpeas and will infest storage facilities. Areas with high heat and humidity are ideal environments. These are not true weevils.

Black Vine Weevils

Black vine weevils are the largest of the root weevil family. They feed on ornamental plants used in landscaping – young on the roots and adults on the foliage. Control is best attempted at night with a dim light.
